Claire was organiser of the Vascular Surgery Section of the UIP 2018 Congress and wins debate with co-debater (retired president of the American Society of Vascular Surgeons)

The Union International De Phlebologie was held in early 2018 in Melbourne. 

Claire, together with Michael Gloviczki (Past President American Society for Vascular Surgery), debated the topic "Varicose Vein stripping is archaic".
