Measuring for Compression Stockings

Medical Compression garments should be measured by a trained fitter where possible. Important information when measuring for your compression garments

  1. Measure in the morning when possible when your leg is not swollen
  2. If your leg is swollen, elevate your leg for a period of time and then measure
  3. Measure when standing if possible

 

Measurement points - Circumference

  1. Measure the narrowest point above the ankle bone
  2. Measure the widest part of the calf
  3. Measure 4cm below the groin
